Hi All!
I inherited an 03 Nissan 350Z from my soon to be ex-husband who abandoned it at my house. I'm trying to take good care of the car, but I know nothing about it! This will be my first car that doesn't need duct tape to hold it together. Okay, maybe it does... you tell me. The driver's side window is stuck in the up position. This makes closing the car door difficult! What should I do? I pull the button, it buzzes, but nothing happens. The window lock isn't on and I can roll down the passenger side window from the driver's side. HALP!!
( Here's a picture of her... )

This looks like a pretty quiet community, but hey, you never know. :)
Hi, everyone. I'm Sean, and this is my 1984 300ZX Anniversary Edition.

blue fender and all. :) she's my baby, and I'm slowing restoring her to factory appearance. (performance is a totally separate matter. ;) )

Hello Z car!
I own a 1985 300ZX Na, and in October I lost my timing belt and my engine suffered untold damage. Do any of you know what I should expect to see when I get time off in the summer to tear the engine open? I expect some valve damage and whatnot, but I thought it would be good to ask other owners to see if they have gone through the same ordeal.
should my valves be trashed, would it be better to replace them, or swap out the motor?
Any input i could receive would be appreciated.

SO this community doesn't seem to have any postings recently, but why not start it up again. I have a 1972 240z (that is an automatic transmission) It's 36 years old now (manufactured in Nov of 71) and I began to wonder "Who were the previous owners of this car? Where are they now? Did they love this car as much as I do?" I wish there was a way to find out, Carfax only goes back to cars made after 1981. What's a girl to do?
Here's my baby:

I own a 77 280z and I thought this would be a good as any community to join. I thought I would throw out there that I also restore the 75-78 280z dashes for 300-600 depending on the condition.

I have a 1990 300zx with 87,000 miles on it. I'm thinking about selling it soon and I was just seeing what would be a good price to take for it. I have an idea in mind but I wanted to get others opinions. The car is in pretty damn good physical condition for it's age. It's 2+2; the color is coal with cloth interior and it's a standard.

Hey. Ive got a 94 300zx auto NA Ive installed an Injen air intake, a stillen hi-flow filter, and a full stillen exaust including catbacks and headers. Im planning on adding a body kit, wheels and paint soon and im thinking about eventually converting to a twin turbo. Im ok under the hood, but I dont think Im good enough to do the conversion. If anyone has any advice about the conversion or knows where i can get it done for as little money as possible, it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

So I have decided to sell my Z.
A few reasons:
1) I have two baby girls now 2) It needs work 3) because of number 1, I don't have the time to work on it
It's a 1993 NA 2+2
It's automatic GReddy Style body kit Carbon Fiber Hood Exhaust Nismo Air Filter Kosei 17" wheels JUST had it painted metallic blue New larger drilled/slotted rotors New front (OEM) calipers
...it runs, however, because the head gasket is blown, you can't drive it cause you can't put water in it. What sucks is, when it's running it runs REALLY well...
I had the injectors replaced a week ago as well as wiring for the injectors ($600) All the hoses and belts replaced Transmission flushed almost everything under the hood has been replaced at one time or another
I'll post pics when i get home tonight.
I think I'm going to ask in the neighborhood of $1500 OBO. I figure there is more than that in just parts on the car. I payed $1300 for the wheels alone.

Hello,
My husband replaced the radiator on his 1990 Nissan 300zx (Fair Lady, non-turbo, automatic). While working on the car he decided to change the thermostat and removed the fan shroud, fan and several wiring harnesses. Pending inclement weather forced him to abandon changing the thermostat, so he reattached fan, fan shroud and the wiring harnesses. The radiator was successfully installed. The problem is the car will not start. The car cranks, but the engine will not turn over or even hit. It does not seem to be getting any fuel. He is certain the harnesses were all replaced properly and did not remove or work on any other part. The car worked just fine prior to the radiator install, with no trouble starting.
Any suggestions as to what to look for or try? I've since disconnected the battery in the hopes the electrical or security system needed to be reset (a stretch, I know, but my mechanical knowledge is limited to a highschool shop class over a decade ago ;-p).
Noteworthy: he did not disconnect the battery prior to working on the car. The battery was connected when he pulled the wiring harnesses. I'm not sure how much bearing, if any, this may have on this situation but I was under the impression the battery must always be disconnected prior to doing any intensive work on a vehicle.

My '86 2+2 has a tweaked unibody. Which always sucked b/c I love the '86 year and the extra length on the wheelbase...all I needed was an LSD and I was set. And maybe a turbo. Im putting my VG and 5-speed into an '85 coupe b/c you dont fix a unibody. Im trying like heck to not do any upgrades while im here b/c of time and money constraints. Im just trying to haul ass getting my daily driver back. Hope it goes well.
